You feel like a fish out of water in an autonomous environment
Within EOA - Velp, you work in a small team with shared responsibility. Habits, procedures, organizability, feasibility, mistakes, they can easily lead us off track. You regularly reflect on the actions of yourself and of our school. You check whether choices, attitudes and behaviors are consistent with what we strive for. You feel comfortable with this space for autonomous behavior and dare to take ownership for it. Sometimes this also means entering into a conversation with yourself or another person. For example, when we do not act in accordance with our own vision, however difficult it may sometimes be to hear this message. The quality of our education ultimately depends heavily on what we do and show every day.
You continuously build colorful relationships
We believe in connecting with your class. This is how you create a powerful and safe learning environment in which cooperation, mutual trust and respect are central. The picture is complete when you also look at how you move each student in their own way to actively learn, to be curious and to explore by themselves and with others. In short, you know how to teach in a lively, exciting, challenging, practical, meaningful, cross-curricular and, above all, question-oriented way.
You dare to make demands of yourself and others
Not only do you value the development of your students, you also value your own development. You do this by continuing to increase your own competencies (combination of knowledge, skills and attitude). You know what you want to work on and which path you will follow. You involve others in your growth.
