How do I get my foreign diploma valued or recognized in the Netherlands?

Procedure

Submit application

You submit an application on the My IDW.com website. Here you create an account with your mail address and self-selected password. After activating your account, you can start the application. Here you fill in all information and upload all required documents. So you do not need to send (original/authenticated/legalized) documents by mail or email.Read more about applying for a diploma rating.

Pay Application

After you answer all the questions and upload the documents, pay for the application online. This can include iDEAL, PayPal or credit card in the online payment system.If you are applying on behalf of an organization for a client, you can also transfer payment at a later time. Please include the application number you see in your application. We will not process the application until payment is received.Once we have received the application and payment, we will send you a confirmation email.

Follow request

You can track the status of your request in your account. You will receive an email from us if any documents are missing. In your account, you can then see what documents or information we still need.If your application is complete, it will go to the expertise center. We will send you an email about this. It is possible that the credential evaluator will make further inquiries abroad, request original documents from you or require additional documents. You will be notified about this.

Diploma appreciation received

When your degree evaluation is ready you will receive an email about it. You can download the credential evaluation from then on in your account. The degree evaluation will remain available in your account and will remain valid.

Questions about a diploma rating received

Did you receive a diploma rating but the contents are not clear? If so, please send an email with your questions to info@idw.nl. The Diploma Valuation Information Center will then answer your questions a.s.a.p. or forward your mail to the diploma valuer.Is there an error on your diploma valuation, such as a misspelling of your name or a wrong date of birth? Send an e-mail to info@idw.nl. You will then receive an updated rating.Do you think your degree rating is incorrect? Within 6 weeks of the date listed on the diploma rating, you can file a complaint. Contact the Diploma Valuation Information Center to have the complaint form open in your My IDW account. You will receive a response to your complaint within 6 weeks.Do you have a different complaint? Let us know by sending an email to the Diploma Valuation Information Center.
