New students can apply to EOA - Velp throughout the year. Below is information on how to apply.

When will enrollment and intake take place?
If you would like to sign up for an intake and testing session for the 2025-2026 school year, please make an appointment by mail:

If you live at the AZC, COA will arrange this for you! You will then automatically be told when your pupil's intake is scheduled.

Please note that we work by appointment only!

Procedure

  • You mail to: n.willemsen@merletcollege.nl (AMV) or s.kraaijkamp@merletcollege.nl (other students). Don't have a mailing address? Then please call 0650585559 during school hours and leave your phone number and name if necessary. We will call you back for an appointment.
  • The intake usually takes place on a Wednesday. Your child or pupil will be tested for math and reading/writing and an enrollment interview will take place. This takes 60 minutes.
  • If you do not speak Dutch or English, you can call an interpreter during the interview. If you are late, you will have to make a new appointment by mail or phone or, if you live at the AZC, you will get a new invitation.

What is required for enrollment?

If possible, bring the following papers with you to Your appointment:

    • Residence permit
    • Identity card or passport of student and parents/guardians (if possible)
    • COA registration form
    • Pass from the health insurance company
    • Cover sheet of the IND form
    • Name and phone number of family physician
    • BSN
    • Reports or certificates from previous schools
    • Vaccination booklet

Specifically for elementary school students , we additionally request the following:

    • reason for application
    • recent report
    • student monitoring system file
    • contact information mentor/IB-er

Placement

After the intake, school determines which class the student will enter and when your child/pupil will start. 

How long do students stay at the EOA?

The average length of stay at the EOA ranges from 0.5 to 2 years.
